Great Australian Bight

Remote Rugged Beauty
Perth to Point Culver:
Day 1 - Dream run; away we go from the hills of Kalamunda through state forest, for quick pie and fuel up at Route 94 servo before blazing trail to our first stop the Greenhills Tavern for a well-earned rest.
Day 2 - Hit the road through the central wheatbelt down interesting tracks before we break for a BBQ lunch at a secret location, then onto second night stay the Westonia Hotel.
Day 3 - Meandering all the way through significant Goldfields and back country to Mt Elvire station, which is surrounded a mammoth salt lake.
We enjoy the BBQ and Bulldust Day
Day 4 - still getting through Gold country, via Orabanda hello Coolgardie!
Day 5 - Moving onto Norsman for further exploration.
Day 6 - we see the Ocean at Point Culver. Wow! We’ve finally hit the edge of the great Australian Bight. So we do 100kms along the beach and we are finally in Israelite bay watching whales wean their calves if we are lucky enough to see them (at the right time of year), before heading out of national park to Cundinup, where we spend our last night before being dropped into Esperance, to be able to catch our flights back to Perth.
